Keeping medicines organised at home
Labels, original packaging and a simple routine help keep your medicine cupboard organised.

Follow the product label
Storage needs vary by product. Follow the instructions on the label and ask your pharmacist if you are unsure. Keep medicines in their original containers so the product name and directions remain available.
Keep them out of reach
Store medicines where children and animals cannot reach them. Avoid mixing tablets from different containers, and do not share prescription medicines with another person.
Review your cupboard
Check dates and set aside items that are expired or no longer needed. Ask a pharmacist about appropriate local disposal rather than using old medicine or disposing of it without guidance.
